Chapter 2 Bruce Wayne, at the loss off his Granddaughter is fraut with sorrow and decides to do something about it himself. As he starts cleaning up the city he realises that he is going to need some help, so he calls up his friend Clark Kent. Together the friends fightto get the crime rate down as they await news from the Titans. They take on different aspects. First taking out the mob and them moving on to the corrupt officials. Skid does his best to make what happened to 'Robin' seem like something that could always happen to any hero. His newspaper articles seem to move the populace and the city moarns and respects the Titans more so then they ever had. Then the Funeral. All the Titans attended, including Skid and Ella. Others there included, Victor Stone, Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Matt Murdock, Frank Castle, and the Titans East. The city showed their respects by not interfering with the private ceremony. Three Months Later Nothing. Absolutly Nothing. No sign of Slade. Anywhere. Raven was now wearing the chakra with Shadow in it around her neck. Garfield wasn't telling jokes anymore. Starfire still couldn't fly. Richard was shutting everyone out like his days of old. Saro was doing what Saro always does. Katana was furious she couldn't do anything. Ella was starting to actually LIKE Saro and that scared her. More then the stories of old about Slade. Richard Jr. is in a mental institution! And so now after the three months of searching the Titans all agree to meet back up in Jump City to think of a new plan! |

A blue portal appears in the middle of the Titan living room. From it comes 15 year old Katana. The months that she was gone changed her appearance. Her long black hair that went to her back, was now straight and to her shoulders.Purple and white strikes ran though it, showing little black. Some how her eyes turned back to her original color, teal. After weeks of trying to tougher out how it happened and get it back to blue. She just gives up in frustration, with all the headaches of traveling. She floated though the portal. She now wore a very long purple over-coat that was obviously to big for her. Even though she was floating several inches from the ground, it dragged on the floor. Her samurai outfit was under her coat.
Luna was glad to be back but it didn't show it on her face. The three months some how aged her. Her eyes where tired and she looked stressed.
Behind her D came though the portal with her walking stick in hand.

as the two young girls step out of the portal and into the common room, they (*well, given that D is seemingly blind*) notice pizza box-towers, stacks of magazine copies, newspaper clippings and articles, other declarations, and one sleepy Skid stretched out on the couch napping with his notebook on his stomach and a Time magazine open on his face. His arms are flailed on the floor, pencil in one hand, empty can in the other.
As the girls approach-somewhat in disbelief at the even bigger mess-Skid awakens and jolts to reality, quickly sitting up.
"Uhh...are you Katana? Holy crap! You guys are back! I've been here all alone for 3 whole months, just waiting on some news from somebody! Did you guys manage to track down that 'sled' guy you were hunting? Oh man you must be hungry! I have some extra pizza in one of these boxes here somewhere..."
*noticing that Katana seems tired and very unenthused, flush comes over his face-somewhat emabarassed-he straightens out a bit and calms down, building his repor and character back up a bit...*
"Yeah, well...I suppose you guys want some rest first anyhow eh? Oh, I bet you didn't notice while you were away, but...I've managed to get this whole city just in love with all of you guys! You have cover pages on every major magazine in the nation, and quite a nice collection of 'go team' articles from the Jump City Tribune, as well as lots of fan-mail. That's all thanks to me, yeah that's right. No need for your condolences though, I just need to get out that you look way different, your fan-zine will eat that up! Oh, I did mention that the kids of the city have started fan-zines didn't I? Yeah, well...as it is, you're extremely popular amoung the young and the old alike. The others are gonna flip when they see all these magazines, I saved copies for all you guys in case you wanted 'em. Sorry about the mess, I didn't think you guys would ever return! Anyway, I guess I'll start cleaning this stuff up shortly."

A familiar black mist filled a glowing purple circle in the center of the common room. A pizza box in the circle fell through, only to reappear on an obviously annoyed Saro's head. "Skid, if you're gonna live here, keep the place clean. Really, now. If it was just us guys, I wouldn't care. But there are ladies present. Now, as de facto leader, I order you to clean up," the vampire quipped, a smirk on his face as he stepped out of the circle to allow a second person to come through his portal.
Ella smiled as she heard Saro's joking comments. She stepped up into the common room and looked around, blinking. She looked over at Saro and smiled again, seeing the vampire's amused look. The Paladin again noted how he had changed. He had added a white plume to his hat, and now wore rectangular sunglasses with ruby lenses more than he wore goggles, though he still carried them. He now wielded a second Jackal in addition to his original gun and the rapier. The vampire had allowed his hair to grow, and the silver locks were now tied into a ponytail that hung between his shoulderblades. He had also grown a small goatee. 'He's pretty handsome. And that goatee is quite distinguishing... NO! No fraternizing with the enemy! Besides, a looker like that probably already has a ladyfriend...' The huntress looked away, and saw to her disdain that the common room, at least, was a total mess. "Skid, dang. You wrecked this place."
Saro smiled once more, then took time to observe his teammates. Ella, Skid, and D all looked the same to him. Katana, though, was obviously changed. Her hair struck him first. He was amazed at the impressive dye job the girl had pulled off. Her eyes were teal, as well. Saro wondered about this. He really didn't care that much either way about her overcoat, but wondered if it would get in her way in combat. He shrugged. It's not my place. The vampire grinned at the two girls he hadn't spent the past three months traveling with, then realized D couldn't see him. "Hey, girls. Any luck?"

Skid notices the slight connection between the rogue paladin and the vampire, but only grins a little. Looking up from behind one of several stacks of pizza boxes; "Oh, hey Saro. What's shakin? I know this place is a total mess but like I was just telling these two, I didn't even expect you guys to return because you were away for so long! Anyway, I was just starting to pick up around here. I'll have it back to its original flavor in no time, chief! Oh by the way, these magazines are for all you guys and the others, I saved copies in case you guys wanted them for momentos or whatever." Skid sinks back down behind the pizza-box tower and goes back to the cleaning he started on before the mist appeared.

Katana takes off her coat and puts her feet on the ground. 'I knew there was something between those too!' Katana thought.She gives a small smile to Saro and embraces him in a small hug. "No we didn't find anything." Katana said sadly. Though all of this Katana showed little emotion. The spell that she had casted on herself to change her appearance was straining her. As the days past, it was harder to control her powers and the her demon part of her.

"Magazines?" Saro looked down at the stack that had his name stiki-noted to it. He pulled the note off and was shocked to find the title of the top magazine to be Playgirl. He looked at the cover to see a picture of his face. The subtitle read, New Titan Leader, Saro!
Underneath that, there was another line. Artist's Nude Impression on Pg. 37. Saro flipped to the page, found it to be a foldout, pulled it out, and whistled. "Well, I won't be keeping THIS. Katana, you want it?"

"Ah...........no thank you. Give it to Ella she was cheaking you out earlier. " she said joking to Saro.
"You better not have done any more of these Skid or you'll lose a job." Katana didn't look like she was kidding.

"Oh, that-" Skid looked up with a curious glance towards the young Katana
"That was a rather hefty commision, which I used the money to buy us all a nice new video game console and entertainment system. I figured I shouldn't waste all the money on just my well being, seeing as how I wouldn't have got my name out to these magazines without you guys anyhow!"
He looks around to see somewhat unamused small crowd....."um....Bonecrusher 3 is in the stack of games next to the Funbox system" (*excitement washes over the curious gamers in the group*)

Ella just grabs the mag from Saro and starts ripping it up. "MEN" she says sarcasticly and grabs a different mag off the table.
"Skid....why does this paper refer to me as a Titan?!"

"Oh, that... see, that's just misinterpretation of the media. 'Our' release stated that you, Ella, had teamed up with one of the new titans temporarily to seek out a quest. Actually, you've gained quite a bit of popularity with the boys of the city! In fact, all of you have your own fan-based periodicals in publishing as we speak. Yep, even you Ella. I had saved copies for all you guys. Oh, and I wouldn't really break down and give in if I were you, but I think the Mayor wanted to convince you all to agree to some sort of autograph signing. I know you all want to get crackin' on the crime and whatnot, but its for the kids"

"You're not? I mean, you spent three months with me, and we talked about it... I thought you'd agreed to join up until our duel, then come what may?" Saro was quizzical as to the nature of Ella's comment. "Oh, and Skid? You're on dishes duty for a month. For drawing me wrong. Just plain wrong."

"Bah, I've been on di-" *looks at the mess* "okay, so I haven't. Whatever you say big guy." A nice cheery smile (creepy!) comes across Skid's face; "I'm just so glad to have company again that I don't really care! I really have missed you guys, I know you all probably think I'm sort of a burden; but I want you all to know how much I appreciate what this oppourtunity has given me." With that, Skid pulls out 'early christmas presents' for each person in the room, even the new girl gets a small gift. "Now, these aren't much; but you're all going to want to keep warm out there on the city streets so I figured it was all practical" (beaming with happiness)
"Oh and Saro? I would like the chance to talk to you later; if that's okay. I have a few questions you may be able to answer."
Skid hands out the small fall presents and goes about picking up all the pizza boxes and organizing the newspaper clippings and other small messes.

A Blue portal opens in the middle of the living room as Raven and Changeling jump through.
Changeling looks around the room and gives a sigh. Raven just sits on the floor and then they both happen to look up at Katana.
Both of them stand up and walk up to her. "Why are you dying your hair this color?" they ask. "And why do you have Teal eye contacts in?"

Katana giggles lightly. "I Knew this is what I needed. A few laughs." She grins at the others. "These past three months haven't been the best for me."
She looks at her parents. She didn't feel like lieing to them.
"I just wanted a new look. And teal is my natural color. My eyes seem to change with the seasons." She grined at them.
