"Good. Run up your little spell." When he saw the artist comply, Saro drew one of his Jackals and loaded a single lethal bullet. "Now hold still..."
In the common room, a shot rang out. The other Titans' heads whipped around to see Skid fall to the ground. Saro stepped over the body, a smoking pistol in his hand.
"Hmm... No signs of trauma or healing... Yep, it's a shield spell alright."

Starfire comes shooting into the room with both eyes and fists lit up. "What is happening?" she asks when she notices just the team in the room.

"How did you know?" Katana said shocked. "Oh never mind. Er.....................he didn't say anything" Katana told Robin. She hesitated before saying. "I wouldn't want to change. Its pretty much my only contection to my parents." She told the Logans. "I um going back to Japan after the whole Slade deal. I have responabiltys there I need to take care of. People who are counting on me. I am not alowed to see my parents and tell them I am ok. Though I wish to see them..........badly and say I am sorry. But I am being watched and if I don't do what he says. He will kill the people who I am aim to save." She told them.

Skid's head rose from the dirt. "uuuh.....man, bullets really are fast! I would hate to make Superman mad" That said, he slowly picks himself up off the ground.
"Holy crap dude, you just shot me! I'm glad we were alone or otherwise the others would've....
the team gathered by the door, with puzzled looks on their faces........
"Oh, no-no, its not what it looks like-honestly! It didn't really hurt.....much. He was helping me understand what happens when I ......um...guys?"

"Well, since no one knows where Slade is I guess we will have to wait." Robin said. "Come on Raven, Changeling, Starfire. Let us leave them to their job"
The four of them went up to the roof and flew off in Robin's plane.
Ella waves bye to the group. "And you've known them for a long time Saro?" she asks. "How can they handle this so well?"

"They're not really handling it that well. They all have their outlets. Robin bottles up and broods. You wouldn't know the difference since you didn't know him before, but after we caught Slade that last time? Man, he opened up. Starfire, as you saw, goes uber-sad. I'm lucky I found Silkie, otherwise she wouldn't have been as talkative as she was. She would've stayed in that room... Wait a tick, she flew! Star's back... at least, somewhat... Changeling is a jokester, always has been, always will be. But Gar's actually being serious over a long period of time now... It's not like him. And I can't explain the difference in Raven. It's a subconscious thing. You'd have to feel it."

Ella walks over to the door to the tower. "You know for a Demon Raven isn't half bad." Ella stops and shivers. "You know. Lets just get this over with so I can start killing demons again. Working with your kind is starting to get to me."
Ella walks through the door and down to the kitchen for food.

Ella walks back up to the top of the tower with her food and looks out over the city.
"It's a beautiful city." She Turns to look over at the ocean. "A little cold out though."

A cloak was thrown at Ella. Startled, the girl turned. Saro sat on top of the stairwell, looking up at the stars. "Take it. I don't care about temperature."

Ella takes the cloak from Saro and wraps it about herself. "Thanks" she whispers. "So can you still reverse what you did you Richard so we can talk to him about Slade, or can you think of any other ideas?"

"Well, I can reverse it, but I'm not so sure that's such a good plan of action. I'm thinking of an older apprentice. I say we try and dig through any notes Terra may have left in her room regarding Slade's hideouts. We may also want to check Robin's Slade room for any clues."

Ella nods and thinks to herself. "Terra, hmm." She looks over at Saro. "Was she the one that saved the city and turned to stone?" She looked at Saro confused. "She was a hero, not Slade's friend."
