Namine Etoile (me)- Ravenclaw
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Namine lay stiffly and quietly in bed. Her eyes open and wide awake. Meena couldn't sleep. She thought about her parents and brother. Her family's death had been recent, three months ago the Death Eaters had broken into her house and killed her parents and her older Brother. The only reason she had escaped was because her brother Cassius had hidden her in the crawlspace. Tears stung her eyes. It was all her fault. If she wasn't what she was. The Death Eaters had almost caught her. So, she had to relocate from Bayuex to London. Namine shook the thoughts from her head. Now was not the time to think that.
She heard her roomates all sleeping around her. She coughed somewhat loudly to see if any of the Girls would wake up but all was silent. Feeling confident, Namine slipped out of her fourposter bed and pulled her trunk out from her bed as quietly as possible. She pulled on her white sneakers and put on her blue sweatshirt over her yellow tank top.
She dodged the patrolling prefects and finally making it to a first story classroom, she opened a window and jumped out, it was only a short drop to the ground. About three meters up. She might have some difficulty getting back in though. Namine set off toward the Black Lake, her favorite place on the grounds. She couldn't sleep so she decided to have an adventure. A long week of warm weather had done the Castle good. A warm breeze caught her and ruffled her silvery blond hair so that it drifted back behind her.
Namine walked to the edge of the lake, her favorite light blue sketch book in hand. She sat down and began to draw the lake with the moonlight reflecting off of it. Her sketch quickly became more and more bold. Her pencil made wide even strokes across the paper. The picture becoming almost like a photograph. Namine sat on the Lakes beach with her back leaning against a beech tree and wished some other student would be sneaking out of doors too. The warm beeze blew again. Namine watched as a lazy red tenticle broke the still surface of the Black Lake. It floated like that for a couple of minutes, and sank smoothly beneath the suface. She had never seen the Giant Squid before. Meena lay on her back and looked at the night sky.
Quickly flipping to a blank page she began to draw the clear starry sky with the enormous constelations above her. She checked to see if she was angling the moon right. Footsteps near her startled her and she shut her notebook and looked behind her.
