Okay,
I collect Spider-Man, Teen Titans, <yes I am buying up Teen Titans Go as well> and some Batman
Comic Collecting is something that if you haven't done most people think would be very expensive.
I started buying comics in July 1986 when I passed a local comic shop and was interested in Batman nd Spider-Man. As for what you are all probably most interested in. I started buying Teen Titans comics because of Robin/Nightwing and really loved them. So I started buying them all. Simple.
Now that I was collecting the comics now...how did I get all the comics before 1986?? Easy and something you can still do now....YARD SALES, .. If you find the right yard sale you can find gold I tell you.
Some of the older comics I bought for a quarter a piece..others I had to spend 10$ each. The most I ever had to pay for one specific comic was 20$ and that was cause I bought a big huge amount in one box.
Now though comics can now cost a lot of money and it is sad for younger collectors as people take it too seriously now. I would never charge someone 1,000$ for a comic.
