There is an episode where Starfire asked Robin if she was his girlfriend and if I remember correctly he said yes. That was the one wherein they got stranded in some hostile planet, right? The one wherein Starfire was being all pissed off because Robin said she wasn't his girlfriend earlier in the episode?

Yeah, I think that's what he's referring to.

well, that was stranded. and robin said no, which got him in trouble. and i'm not sure if he actually said yes in so many words... but the dialogue and body language suggested that he would've said yes had she asked again.

Maybe he would... the others did catch them hugging. IMO, Star's just fixated on Robin... more of a strong crush or obsession rather than actual love. Its like she's forced/manipulated Robin to accept her as his "girlfriend" using her feelings as some sort of weapon. She just won't have things any other way, would she?. That kind of possessiveness isn't really love... maybe "in love", but not "love".
And about BB chancing on Raven every now and then...

Raven doesn't ignore BB. What I'm actually getting at is that BB's "advances" toward Raven (unnecessarily touching or hugging her) are... well, are more of just "taking liberties"... you know what I mean. Like I've said before, its "borderline sexual harassment". He should just stick to giving her lucky coins and stuff...

He was saying Raven ignores Robin I think. And to claim that a member of a teens show is sexual harrassing another character...that has "jelous why-doesnt-robin-do-it-to " writen all over it, sucks when your couple doesnt look like it will ever happen doesnt it

Who says it will never happen? I'll admit its unlikely due to reasons we are all aware of, but I wouldn't pass it as written-on-stone-impossible.
And it may sound to you that I envy BB for Robin's sake, but that's not actually the case. I'm just saying that such of BB's actions are rather uncalled for (like in the episode "Troq"?)... you know what I mean. I guess one of the reasons why I favor Robin for Raven over BB is that Robin isn't imposing himself on Raven and intruding into her personal space like what BB does.
I think most of you are into anime, so if I may make a comparison... its kind of the same reason why I vouch for Touya over the more "human" Yuuhi in Ayashi no Ceres. Did that make my point any clearer? Hope it did.

Well, first of all, I read Ayashi no Ceres and I've always disliked Touya. I wished Aya would choose to be with Yuuhi for awhile.
Anyway, if Raven thought BB was truly being invasive, I think her reactions (particularly in Troq) would have been a bit stronger. When he hugged her in that episode, all she really did was glare at him and chase him around a little bit. If it truly bothered her, she probably would've blown up at him. I also want to remind you of (and I'm sure you're getting tired of hearing about this) 'Spellbound' and the infamous hug. In this episode, Raven actually shared a little bit of the pain she was feeling about Malchior with Beast Boy, and his response ("You think you're alone, Raven, but you're not") resulted in her giving him a rather strong hug. My interpretation of the reason he didn't return it is that it startled him and he didn't quite know how to react. If Raven were to push Beast Boy away everytime he tried something, I might agree with you. But she doesn't. On occasion she will accept it, or even try something herself.
Also, I certainly don't think BB is trying to impose himself on Raven. If you ask me, he acts the way he does towards her because he cares. Notice, he doesn't really act that way toward any other Titan (unless you count Terra... And he had feelings for her, right?).

Well, sorry. I just don't support that "lack of self control"... there has to be a line drawn somewhere. Anyway, if Raven thought BB was truly being invasive, I think her reactions (particularly in Troq) would have been a bit stronger. When he hugged her in that episode, all she really did was glare at him and chase him around a little bit. If it truly bothered her, she probably would've blown up at him. I was actually pointing out more on BB's motives rather than Raven's perception. Also, I certainly don't think BB is trying to impose himself on Raven. If you ask me, he acts the way he does towards her because he cares. Notice, he doesn't really act that way toward any other Titan (unless you count Terra... And he had feelings for her, right?). That's why I'm apprehensive of BB's actions towards Raven. He was in love with Terra and you don't see him doing that kind of stuff to her...

I'm only going to respond to that last bit. The reason it never seemed like BB was imposing himself on Terra was that Terra pretty much always accepted BB's feelings for her (Before 'Betrayal', of course). With Raven, she's a little bit more reluctant to accept that someone cares for her, considering the fact that she was for the most part brought up uncared for and told to keep all her feelings locked up. The only one who really loved her was her mother, and they were rarely allowed to see each other (At least, that's my understanding). For this reason, she pushes BB away a lot, which is probably why it seems like she's imposing himself upon her. This is why I feel that Beast Boy really does care and have feelings for Raven and he's not just bugging her all the time and trying to invade her privacy. Yes, I'm aware that he has done both of these, but I think he has good intentions.

this is just a stab in the dark, but maybe that's the only way BB knows how to show his feelings... and i agree with blackfire. terra was just as bad as BB, if you notice, so it was less noticeable. and who knows? maybe (at least in the show) BB feels a different kind of love for Raven than he did for Terra. love vs crush, mayhaps?

If you could dismiss BB's feelings towards Terra as merely a "crush" (as opposed to "love"), I wouldn't put BB's feelings towards Raven as "love"... "fondness" maybe... but who knows what's really going on?

we sure as heck will probably never know, as far as the show is concerned. we can only speculate. and i think i made a mistake when i said 'crush'. i meant more like, i dunno, a first love, or puppy love, y'know? infatuation as opposed to fondness...
