Hi, this is my first post here. Since I'm a fan of the Robin-Raven pairing, I thought it would only be fitting that I make my debut post in this forum... Why I see Robin and Raven going together rather than Robin with Starfire and Raven with Beast Boy... well... I dunno, maybe because they both have a "bird theme"? Seriously, while Raven has this dark goth image to her, Robin was originally from a franchise that isn't exactly "not dark" and "non-gothic" (Batman). In addition, I don't really believe in the "opposites attract" theory, or that "balancing/complementing each other" thing. Robin is too serious and Raven doesn't BS around either... who has the best capacity to understand them but each other? Besides, as Robin had put it, they have a "bond" (I'm glad that wasn't left behind forgotten). While Raven didn't actually let Robin into her mind, it was obvious in the last episodes of season 2 (starting with "Birthmark") that Raven trusted Robin the most, and Robin did care a lot for Raven. By the way, has anyone else ever noticed how Robin and Raven grew more comfortable with each other than they did with the ones who they are officially paired up with? IMO, that would make a relationship that would actually last. There's just this depth in Robin and Raven's relationship that isn't in Raven-Beast Boy and Robin-Starfire...

Welcome to the board
^_^
Oh and since Robin and Starfire are officially dating in the show, I do not think Raven and Robin stand much of a chance.

Maybe Starfire should go away just like in the comic (I've only read about it though). Personally, after "Birthmark", "The Prophecy" and "The End", I just don't see how they could not officially make Robin and Raven a couple... they practically pushed Starfire and Beast Boy aside in those episodes, and things were going so well between Robin and Raven. :-\
And I don't think BB and Starfire can't work as a couple either... they already have a kid! "Silkie" anyone?

They should of made Starfire the cool soldier she was in the comic and not some dolt nimwit who can't speak English.

Really, it's all a matter of perception. While you (Lovechild (yes, I like to abbreviate)) believe that after season 4's arc, it only makes sense for Robin and Raven to be together, many others feel that they couldn't possibly just throw away all that work they did to build up the Robin/Starfire relationship. Could you honestly see the show's writers spending 3 full seasons building on that relationship only to say, "Eh, forget it, let's put Robin and Raven together instead."? I couldn't, but, as I said, it's all a matter of perception and I certainly respect your opinion.

i agree with blackfire. opinion, opinion, opinion. it all depends on how you see it. personally, i just thought that it was showing a robrae friendship. then again, i'm hardcore bbrae, so my opinion can't really be trusted... cor, robin's right, rob and star ARE technically going out...

robin's right, rob and star ARE technically going out... Not in that Cartoon Network filler though... Yeah, I guess its just a matter of opinion. I know Robin cares for Starfire, but from what I've seen, I don't honestly think its anything more than how much he cared for Raven - which is supposed to only be his friend and not his "someone special". Raven obviously trusted Robin the most, and among the Titans, it seems like it is Raven that Robin is most comfortable opening up to. But then, isn't it common for people to trust and confide to their friends rather than their "special someone" (and then they would rant and complain how their relationship sucked)? In any case, I have yet to see a relationship deeper than that of Raven and Robin in the show.

There is an episode where Starfire asked Robin if she was his girlfriend and if I remember correctly he said yes.
