THE CYCLE A cycle of pain, a cycle of torment. A cycle of horror, not long dormant.
The cycle began, in ages long past; through years to the future the cycle will last.
Surviving the cycle is no easy feat. At the cycle, many their end meet.
The cycle will continue for ages to come; trying to avoid its effects is just plain dumb.
A cycle of pain, a cycle of torment. A cycle of horror, not long dormant.

Skills Sometimes I wonder as summer turns to fall, why I can write, but have no skill to draw.
It dawns on me that skills can cancel each other, Fighting for dominance, as a feud with a brother.
A person has a latent skill, to illustrate or scribe, those who can do both well are a very rare tribe.
Writing and drawing, nigh opposite polar ends, come together to form the very best trends.

The Cycle Pt. II A cycle of glory, a cycle of bliss, a cycle of joy, of untold happiness.
The cycle continues, and faces its twins, Those cycles of change, and the horror that rends.
But this cycle heals the wounds of the others, Covers the memories, brought on by its brothers.
The cycle is wanted, yearned for, expected. It heals the sick, feeds the hungry, finds the neglected.
A cycle of glory, a cycle of bliss A cycle of joy, of untold happiness.

Hmm. I like it. The cycle thing is very interesting, super. You're so right about the skills thing. I'm a writer and I can't draw to save my life. Anyway, here's a poem I put up on fictionpress.com:
So Many
So many memories that I prayed were nightmares So many dreams I wish I never had Why is it that while I sleep I am happy But when I awake I become so sad?
So many words I want to take back So many things I wish I never said And every time I see the pain on your face It leaves me tossing and turning in bed
So many options, so many paths And yet I can’t seem to make a choice Because the people around me are screaming so loud I can’t even hear my own voice
So many truths I’d hoped were lies And so many lies I thought were true And no matter how much you beg and how much you plead It’s impossible for me to forgive you
So many actions I can’t undo Each one haunting me to this day And no matter how hard I try, I just can’t avoid it This is a price I have to pay
