Yes, as TheUbu posted in the announcements board: BBRAE HAS OFFICIALLY HAPPENED! I feel the need to rant about it.
It was about a year and a half ago that I started watching Teen Titans. I liked only Raven and Robin together for a little while, and then I started to notice the interaction between Beast Boy and Raven. It was just plain funny. I loved it. And I started seeing the potential for a relationship. And so I became a 'shipper. My love for the couple grew, and I tried a fanfiction, loved writing it, and began an obsessive BBRae fanfic campaign.
And I met other 'shippers, people who shared my love for the couple (and I had thought there were so few of them before). And my love for the couple grew more. And so through the RxR interaction in Birthmark, and through the threat of a million things tearing them apart, I believed that BBRae was going to happen.
We've kept the faith, some of us only for months because that's how long we've been 'shipping, some for a year, and some BBRae veterans have kept the faith for YEARS. Because we believed it was going to happen. And we were right. And so we kept showing the spirit through everything, and now, here we are, watching it unfold before our eyes. People have told us that BBRae is ridiculous, that it's never going to happen, that we're crazy. But we didn't listen. We might even have believed that THEY were crazy. We showed the BBRae spirit in any way we could, and we stuck together whether it was in forums or somewhere else.
And so here we are. It's happened. And it doesn't matter if it happens on the show. Because we know that if it doesn't, it's only because they didn't have TIME to put it in because they chose not to make a sixth season. No matter what happens, we were right all along.
So celebrate! ;D We've come a long way.
Now we just need to keep up the faith, because who knows, it might just happen on the show! ^_^
