Saro sighed, then summoned up his bravest face. "Very well, Paladin. If you will help us, we'll have our duel. If you win, you can kill me, and we'll be done with this crazy game of cat and mouse. If I win, then you have to leave me alone until I leave the Titans."

Saro turned to Katana and grinned, really grinned, for the first time, showing his shining fangs. "Just trust me this once. Have faith. I know what I'm doing. I would sacrifice my life for one of the Logan girls in a split second."
