I love Raven. Though my favorite character is Cyborg, Raven pulls in at a close second. She is the most selfless of the Titans. She sacrifices her emotions to keep those around her safe. And despite her past and supposed future, she's never once given up, no matter how close she got to failing. She puts the safety of everyone else on the team before her own, and she has a strong sense of who she is, and isn't willing to change for anyone. She is pretty much the ultimate heroine, and some people even go so far as to call her the "Angelina Jolie of the cartoon world".
Strange, though. Raven is probably the most popular character. Most people love her generally for WHO she is, the strength of her character. But in real life, she would be the person that was the most overlooked and disliked, because people wouldn't take the time to get to know her on the INSIDE. Now, Robin is one of the least popular characters. I can barely go into any TT forum without finding a huge crowd of anti-Robin people. In real life, Robin would be generally the one more people ended up liking because they would be drawn automatically to his leadership qualities and confidence. Has anybody else noticed this at all?

I always hung out with the quite and shy people all throughout school. It was just the way it was. My brothers were the really popular football stars on the team so I myself was treated as a black sheep.
Most of the people I know that dislike Robin, dislike him because he is too forceful as a leader and quite reckless at times. The whole Red X thing and becoming ueber-obsessed with Slade more or less proves that aspect of him. Others just hate Batman and hold it over onto Robin.
As for liking Raven....actually most everyone I know dislikes her. They see her as a time bomb that should not be irresponsible and putting herself into stressful situations that do cause her to become emotional. <fighting and such>
As for me? Robin is an okay leader who sometimes really messes up, and Raven is the most interesting aspect of the show. For me this is a throwback, as she and Speedy were always my favorite characters in the comic.

Robin isn't mean, he just gets too into things like Slade, and he pushes everyone away when he tries to look for them. If he let them help, they would've got alot more things on Slade then Robin would by himself.

Raven I guess... then Robin at a very very close second. I guess its because I really like the Robin X Raven pairing. I didn't really like Robin... I think, many people who don't like Robin don't like him because the Robin character has this image of being of that uncool dorky sidekick which may have carried over to the cooler incarnation in the Teen Titans show. In time, you get to see past things like that. Now that I think of it, what actually started me seeing Raven and Robin as a couple is that episode wherein Starfire went into the future. Nightwing seemed like the perfect guy for Raven... cool guy for a cool girl. It was only later that I realized how Robin is always so serious about everything; kinda like, but not actually like, Raven.
By the way, good point Moonchild... except that Robin in the real world wouldn't be that likeable as he is a serious hotblooded workaholic which is "not fun". And you know how people prefer people that are "fun" over the ones that mean business. IMO, Cyborg would be the most likeable among the five in the real world.

Raven is my favorite easily. If she were real I'd do anything to win her over.

Raven is deffinitley my favorite character, although BeastBoy is a close second, and Terra pulls in third. However, I don't enjoy the Robin x Raven pairing. I have nothing against Robin, he's actually a really cool character, but he's too serious, just like Raven, in a way. I think if they had a relationship, it would go nowhere, because Robin doesn't know how to make a move on a girl, and Raven certainly isn't going to be the one to try it. Same with Beast Boy and Terra. I'm not a fan of the coupling, but I don't hate it at all. But there lies a problem in it. Beast Boy and Terra are so alike: both bubbly, funny, carefree, somewhat immature people. If they were together, it would be an annoying couple, because it would always be loud and bubbly. Although there are many qualities that make their coupling good (better then Robin and Raven, because I feel in their relationship it would be extremely boring) the best to me is Raven and BeastBoy, becausr Raven is secluded and calm, and will have what it takes to calm down Beast Boy a bit, help him mature some, while Beast Boy will be able to draw Raven out of her shell a bit, expose her to new things and emotions.
